  • Isra Soccer Academy Vs Olila High School – 12PM

Both UCU Lady Cardinals and Lady Doves will be hoping to take lead of group 2 of the FUFA Women Super League as the two teams face off on Wednesday at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Lady Doves are top of the log with four points in two games while UCU Lady Cardinals are one point behind albeit with a game in hand.

UCU Lady Cardinals made a perfect start to the tournament, nicking a 1-0 win over She Corporate and assistant coach Simon Asiimwe believes this gives them belief ahead of the next game.

“Winning the first game is always important and this is what we got. Therefore, we go into the game against Lady Doves with determination and in good mood.” He said.

The Mukono based outfit could have earned three points off She Corporate but there was a point of bother especially their performance in the second half and the coach stated that this will be rectified before facing Lady Doves.

“We lacked control and allowed our opponents to create several chances. Against Lady Doves, that will be one area where we need to improve.”

Lady Doves on the other hand labored to settle for a point off Olila School WFC. Despite taking the lead through Fazila Ikwaput, Olila pressed the Masindi outfit to the wall.

Coach Fred Musiime is however unfazed with playing for three consecutive days and says they prepared for this.

“We knew the format on which the League was going to be played. Therefore, playing for three successive days cant’ be an excuse. We just want to improve where we failed and earn three points.”

The other game to be played on Wednesday will see new comers Isra Soccer Academy face Olila High School who welcome back goalkeeper Lucy Angel and right back Gillian Akadinda.

Isra lost their first game 5-0 to Lady Doves while Olila High School have just one point in two games.
