Stanbic Uganda Cup 20201 (Round of 16) – 1st Leg:

  • Express 2-1 URA
  • UPDF 1-3 Vipers
  • Onduparaka 0-1 SC Villa

Express recovered from a goal down to out-muscle visiting Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) 2021 during the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 16 duel at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

Ibrahim Juma Dada scored the opener as early as the second minute.

Express brought the game level with the equalizer coming from Martin Lubwama Kizza in the 17th minute as the half time ended one goal apiece.

The Red Eagles took the lead for the first time in the game when Eric Kenzo Kambale scored in the 64th minute.

It then necessitated solid defending as Wasswa Bbosa’s side held on the lead to win the game 2-1 at home.

The return leg will be played at the Arena of Visions stadium in Bombo on Monday, 3rd May 2021.

Meanwhile, Vipers beat UPDF 3-1 at the Army Military Stadium in Bombo.

UPDF took the lead through Brian Kayanja in the 11th minute.

Vipers then staged a gallant fight to score three goals in the second half through Joseph Bright Vuni (own goal), Ibrahim Orit and Ceaser Manzoki.

At the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium in Arua city, Sports Club Villa edged Onduparaka 1-0.

The round of 16 continues on Sunday, 2nd May 2021 with first leg duels at different venues.

The MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo has a double header with Proline versus Mbale Heroes the early kick off at 1 PM before Police will face Soltilo Bright Stars at 3:30 PM.

At the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso Giants face Tooro United and Maroons will face KCCA at Prisons ground in Luzira.
