The four teams for the playoffs of the FUFA Women Super League are now known following UCU Lady Cardinals victory over Olila High School WFC on Saturday.
The Mukono based outfit overcame Olila High School in a closely contested encounter to secure the final slot.
Shadia Nankya got the vital goal that eventually guided UCU Lady Cardinals to the semifinals.
The all-important goal from a free kick arrived, three minutes to the break in the game played at Rays of Grace Primary School.
UCU Lady Cardinals came into Saturday’s game in second place and needed victory to guarantee their berth.
The result not only took them to the playoffs but helped them finish top of group of 2 with 9 points, one ahead of Lady Doves.
UCU will therefore face Uganda Martyrs on Monday in the playoffs. The latter finished second in Group 1 with 9 points.
Lady Doves on the other hand will face record Champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies.
She Corporate won 5-0 against Isra Soccer Academy but could only settle for third place on 7 points. Noeline Namiiro(brace), Ronah Nantege, Susan Atim and Phiona Nabbumba scored the goals.
The winner will represent Uganda in the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers for the inaugural edition of CAF Women’s Champions League.
