Vipers will face UPDF again on Monday, 3rd May 2021 at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende

  • UPDF 1-3 Vipers
  • Onduparaka 0-1 SC Villa
  • Express 2-1 URA

Vipers have the advantage ahead of the return leg in the 2021 Stanbic Uganda Cup after the 3-1 victory on the road over UPDF at the Military Stadium in Bombo.

The hosts took the half time lead through Brian Kayanja as early as the 11th minute.

Vipers rallied from behind to score three second half goals through UPDF defender Joseph Bright Vuni (own goal), Ibrahim Orit and Congolese striker Cesar Manzoki.

Vuni connected Bobosi Byaruhanga’s teasing corner kick on the hour mark.

Moments later, Ibrahim Orit gave the visitors for the first time before Abrahim Ndugwa assisted Manzoki with the assist for the winner on the stroke of full time.

These two sides face off again on Monday, 3rd May 2021 at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Meanwhile, Onduparaka fell at home 1-0 to visiting Sports Club Villa at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium.

At the Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium, Express recovered from a goal down to beat visiting URA 2-1.

URA took the lead inside the opening two minutes. Express equalized through Martin Kizza Lubwama on the quarter hour mark before the winning goal came from Eric Kenzo Kambale.

The first round of 16 stage continues on Sunday, 2nd May 2021 with first leg duels at different venues.

The MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo has a double header with Proline versus Mbale Heroes the early kick off at 1 PM before Police will face Soltilo Bright Stars at 3:30 PM.

At the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso Giants face Tooro United and Maroons will face KCCA at Prisons ground in Luzira.
