Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club experienced goalkeeper Godwin Buule Kiwanuka has officially bid farewell to the Uganda Premier League entity.

Kiwanuka on Thursday, July 15, 2021 confirmed that he had reached a mutual agreement with the club management not to renew his employment contract.

I and Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club have agreed to mutually part ways as I have served the team with honor and pride. And as a player, am looking forward to bigger challenges. I eye return to the national team fold and having better statistics among other others.

Kiwanuka spent two seasons at Soltilo Bright Stars since leaving Express Football Club.

He is thankful for the offer of playing at Soltilo Bright Stars, thanking the team management, fellow teammates, staff and the fans.

I am thankful to Soltilo Bright Stars Football Club for the opportunity to serve and play for them. It was a great time that I spent with fellow teammates and staff that saw us achieve 5th position and also helped me grow as a player and achieve personal goals.

After an impressive display during his first season at Soltilo Bright Stars in the 2019-20 epoch, Kiwanuka earned a summon to the Uganda Cranes team then preparing for the 2020 Championship of African Nations tournament.

The tournament was pushed ahead to January 2021 in the West African country of Cameroon.

Kiwanuka once played for the Uganda U-20 team and a former Uganda Premier League winner with Bunamwaya Sports Club (now Vipers)
