Wakiso Giants FC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has dismissed reports that midfielder Gadafi Wahab’s contract at the club was terminated.
This follows media reports that the former Onduparaka star has left the club just after one and half season after signing a three year contract in January 2020.
“As a club, we haven’t let go of Wahab and he is still our player with a running contract as far as we know,” Kamoga told Kawowo Sports.
“Treat reports to the contrary as false and baseless,” he added.
The midfielder nearly left the club in January after an internal suspension but returned in the second round and put up decent performances for the Purple Sharks.
It’s argued that the player isn’t happy about less playing time and it’s the reason he wants out.
Wakiso Giants are yet to officially announce any departures and signings so far in the window.
