As the 2021 Challenge Cup U-23 tournament approaches the semifinal stage, two Ugandans have been appointed to handle the second semi-final between Burundi and Kenya on Tuesday afternoon.
The Ronald duo of Madanda and Katenya will be the center referee and first assistant respectively.
This pair also handled the official opening match of the tournament between traditional arch rivals Eritrea and hosts Ethiopia.
Rachid Wais from Djibouti is the second assistant referee.
Yannick Kabanga Malala of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is the fourth official (reserve referee).
Somalia’s Ali Ahmed is referee assessor.
The first semifinal between Tanzania and South Sudan will be officiated by Ethiopia’s Haileyesus Bazezew.
Another Ethiopian Yeshualashet Fasika Biru is first assistant.
Eritrean Michael Eyobel is second Assistant referee as another Eritrean Teklu Mogos Tsegay is fourth official.
Jean Claude Birumushahu is referee assessor.
