Record league champions SC Villa have agreed a deal in principle to sign 2020/21 Masaza Cup Golden Boot winner Charles Bbaale.
The left footed forward featured for champions Gomba Ssaza scoring seven goals in the tournament.
“A deal in principle has been agreed for the transfer of Charles Bbaale to Villa,” the club confirmed.
The highly rated Bbaale who idolises Uganda Cranes legend David Obua has been featuring for Fufa Big League side, Terrazzo and Tiles in the concluded campaign.
Bbaale re-unites with assistant coach Ibrahim Kirya at Villa Park as the two worked together at Gomba.
He becomes the club’s first signing in the current transfer window ahead of expected many arrivals at the club with many also expected to depart.
The Jogoos have already lost midfielder Emmanuel Alex Wasswa and defender Derrick Ndahiro to KCCA and URA respectively while Geoffrey Wasswa, Ronald Ssekiganda, Asuman Alishe, Nicholas Kabonge and Said Keni are all expected to leave.
