- Kireka Young Vs Kitara (1 PM) – MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
- Kisugu United Vs Busoga United (4 PM) – MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo
- Tawai Vs Ndejje University (3 PM) – Angwcidange Primary School playground, Dokolo
- Basere Vs Luweero United (3 PM) – Kaler playground, Ngora
The MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in the heart of the capital city, Kampala will be a bee-hive of football activity on Friday, January 21st 2022.
The astro-turf sports facility shall host two Stanbic Uganda Cup games on the day during round of 64.
Kampala regional side Kireka United shall host FUFA Big League side Kitara at 1 PM in the early kick off.
In the second game that kicks off at 4 PM, another Kampala regional side Kisugu United entertains top tier outfit Busoga United, a club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
Meanwhile, two other games shall be played elsewhere.
Away in West Nile, regional side Tawai face Ndejje University at the Angwcidange Primary School playground in Dokolo district.
In the North East region, Basere face FUFA Big League side Luweero United at the Kaler playground in Ngora district.
A couple of clubs have already qualified to the round of 32. Among these is Police who edged Bushenyi Veterans 1-0 on Thursday, January 20, 2022 courtesy of Fahad Kizito’s early goal in Bushenyi.
Others include; Kajjansi United, Tepa, Wakiso Giants, Booma, Rusekere Growers, Gaddafi whilst the verdict remains between Bundimasoli and BUL.
Kajjansi United humbled FUFA Big League side Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) 3-0 at the Uganda Clays playground in Kajjansi in a game where John Wesley “Neymar” Kisakye struck a brace and Joseph “Big League” Shisha added the other.
North East regional side Tepa humbled Seeta United 3-1 at the Paul Mukasa Primary School playground in Mukono.
Veteran forward Julius Ogwanga, formerly at Express among other clubs scored a brace with Juma Valentino Tandema adding the other.
Wakiso Giants edged Buganda regional side Kiyinda Boys 1-0 at the Ssaza ground in Mityana with former KCCA player Moses Aliro Okabo scoring the all-important goal.
Paints gurus Kansai Plascon and banking institution Stanbic Bank are the tournament sponsors.
The winner of the Uganda Cup makes it to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Vipers are the reigning champions.
