Musa Esenu smiles after scoring a goal at BUL Football Club

Aggressive forward Musa Esenu has secured a new club in the Rwanda Premier League division, Rayon Sport.

Christened as Simba and Royalty, Esenu has had an impressive season at Jinja-based BUL Football Club with as many as 8 goals in the first half of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

He is the joint top scorer as Vipers’ Congolese forward Ceaser Lobi Manzoki, a goal better than Yunus Junior Sentamu (Vipers), Ibrahim Nsimbe (BUL), Cromwell Rwothomio Abang (URA), and Alfred Leku (Arua Hill).

The fast forward is set to depart Uganda via Entebbe International Airport on Tuesday night.

Esenu has previously played at Soana (now Tooro United), Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), Vipers, and lately BUL.

He is blessed with blistering pace, strength, a fearless attitude, and an odd eye for the back of the net.

He is expected to bolster the Rayon Sport attack force as they vie for top honours in the Rwanda Premier League.

He departs BUL with his head and shoulder up having inspired the Eastern Uganda-based club to fourth place on the 16 team log with 24 points off 15 matches, behind Express, Vipers, and leaders Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

The latest group of Ugandans to cross to Rwanda were coaches Jackson Mayanja and Mike Mutebi who went to AS Kigali where goalkeeper Shamiru Batte is the other Ugandan at the club.

David Isabirye is a senior staff writer for Kawowo Sports where he covers most of the major events.
