Sam "Tiyo" Kintu

Jinja based StarTimes Uganda Premier League Gaddafi has agreed terms with experienced holding midfielder Sam “Tiyo” Kintu and Charles Ssebutinde.

Both players put pen to paper at the club christened as “The Soldier Boys” until the end of the 2021-2022 season.

Kintu, a workaholic holding midfielder has been unemployed since featuring at army side Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) Football Club.

Kintu comes with the crucial experience for the league debutants having also served previously at Express and Proline Football Clubs.

Ssebutinde is a pacy winger who has of late mastered playing in central midfield as well.

He has played at Nyamityobora, BUL and UPDF football clubs in the previous seasons.

Gaddafi head coach Peter Onen has previously worked with Ssebutinde during his tenure as assistant coach for the Uganda national U-17 team (Cubs) in 2013 and 2014.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi has also agreed terms with Seif Batte, also a former UPDF player.

Batte started his career at Kazo based Steggota before he was signed by Soltilo Bright Stars.

He also played at Maroons, Kyetume and lately UPDF Football clubs.

In their debut season, UPDF has played 15 games so far, won 5, draw 6 times and lost 4 matches as they lie 8th on the 16 team log with 21 points.
