Black Pearls recorded their second bonus-point win in as many games after overcoming Thunderbirds 41-14 at Kyadondo rugby Ground.

Two early tries from Emily Lekuru in the opening ten minutes of the game both converted by Charlotte Mudoola gave Black Pearls a 14-00 lead and confidence they needed against the defending champions.

Thunderbirds grew into the game pinning the Black Pearls in their half and dominated at the scrum but the visitors soaked the pressure.

Despite calling for the tee on three occasions in the first half, Mary Kyoita found no direction with her kicks and Pearls led 14-00 at the intermission.

Mudoola opened the second half off the tee to extend Pearls lead to 17-00 and shortly after Racheal Mufuwa broke away to score at the corner.

Black Pearls were reduced to 13 players with Helen Acanit and Lekuru sent to the bin as Thunderbirds were awarded penalty try.

Despite going two players down, Black Pearls found space on the blind side and Mufuwa ran around Thunderbirds defence and touched down at the corner to extend the lead.

Emmanuela Oroma put the game to bed with a big carry through the middle and grounded under the posts for the easiest of conversions for Mudoola.

Thunderbirds (blue) dominated the scrum

Thunderbirds went hunting again through their `forwards and, this time, were rewarded with a try under the posts by Harriet Kayonjo that was easily converted by Kyoita to tream the lead to 20.

However, the quick feet of Mufuwa proved too much for Thunderbirds as the winger completed her hatrick with the final play of the game.

Black Pearls top the standings with maximum points from the two games played thus far.
