Ugandan forward Musa Esenu officially opened his goals account in the Rwanda Premier League on Thursday, February 17, 2022 with a priceless goal for his new side Rayon Sports.

Rayon Sports overcame Rutsiro 1-0 at the Kigali Regional Stadium in Nyamirambo.

Esenu was on the mark in the 18th minute and his team held onto the victory for the rest of the game duration.

Rayon Sports climbed to third on the table standings with 29 points, same as Mukura Victory Sports.

APR, who had lost 1-0 to Kiyovu Sports on Wednesday maintains the top summit slot with 37 points, two better than Kiyovu Sports, home of Emmanuel Arnold Okwi and Muzamiru Mutyaba.

Other Results:

Espoir condemned Police to a 2-0 defeat, Etincelles and Bugesera both failed to find the back of the net.

Kiyovu Sports overcame Shamiru Batte’s AS Kigali, also home to two Ugandan coaches Mike Mutebi and Jackson “Mia-Mia” Mayanja.

Marines fell at home to visiting Gorilla 2-1. Mukurua Victory Sports beat Gasogi United 1-0 on the road.

Meanwhile, Etoile De L’est and Gicumbi shared the spoils 1-all.

There is virtually little time for rest and recovery for Esenu and his teamates as they take on Bugesera on 21st February 2022.
