Iganga Young players in celebrations after eliminating Tepa out of the Uganda Cup

Eastern regional side Iganga Young ejected North East’s Tepa 4-3 in post-match penalties during the round of 32 clash in the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the Ngora playground.

Normal time of this clash ended goal-less before the shoot-out.

Sulaiman Kisubi, Sande Godfrey Nyandwi Olobo, Arafat Katuntu and Jamil Mukungu Mangala scored the goals for Iganga Young in the shootout.

The victors thus progressed to the round of 16 stage.

Meanwhile, Ndejje University eliminated Luweero United 4-3 in the post-match shoot out after a 1-all draw in normal time.

Brian Ssali gave Ndejje University the half time lead with a strike on 35 minutes.

Derrick Mudali replied for the home side in the 53rd minute.

During the tense penalty shoot-out, both sides missed their respective first kicks.

Ndejje University held their nerves to win 4-2 and book a berth at the round of 16.

Mbale Heroes overcame Kampala third tier side NEC 1-0 at the Sansiro playground in Mbale city.

James Mukebeezi was the hero with the solitary goal, a well headed strike in the 25th minute.

Mbale Heroes had missed a glorious opportunity to take the lead as early as the 5th minute when Fahad Nsamba missed from 12 yards.

Wakiso Giants walloped Kyetume 5-2 at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso.

Samuel Ssenyonjo (on loan from KCCA) grabbed the headlines for the right reasons, with a hat-trick to his name.

Skipper Hassan Ssenyonjo and Tom Masiko added the two other goals.

Ezra “Rubber Boy” Bidda got the two consolation goals for Kyetume, a side coached by David Katono Mutono.
