The fifth division contest between Entebbe Police and Nkumba Kataka at Police playground on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 lived to its anticipated billing and hype.

There were four goals scored, a red card to hosts Entebbe Police, tensions erupting and no clear cut winner by close of business for 90 minutes.

Police scored a third minute penalty by Godwin Yiiki before Muhammed “Maddi Mukiri” Kabuye equalized with a sweet well taken free-kick as the first half ended 1-goal apiece.

Second half substitute Davis Balironda restored Entebbe Police’s lead, a goal bitterly protested by the opposition for an alleged off-side call.

Yiiki was red carded inside the final quarter of the game to grant numerical advantage to the visitors.

Nkumba Kataka captain Kamada Tebusweke blasted home from close range to the square the game 2-all heading to the final 8 minutes of the game.

Two-all the game ended with the spoils shared in the explosive derby.

Entebbe Navigators won their second game of the season, overcoming Maya Royals 2-0 in Maya.

Ashraf “Neymar” Kigozi scored a brace for Navigators.

Calvary was made to wait for another day to register their maiden victory in the league as they fell to J-Life at the Entebbe Comprehensive SSS playground in Nakiwogo, Entebbe.

Seguku subjected visitors Ssekabo to a 4-2 drubbing in Lweza as Zanta smiled 3-0 over Katale Masters in Ndejje Lubugumu.

Sumba Academy lost 3-0 at their own graveyard to Kisozi at Buddo.

Makandwa recorded a 2-1 home win over Jjokolera at Maazi.

Two matches ended all square at goal-less; Bakka against Seeta Kasangati in Bakka and Nakwero at home with Kitovu.

This league is organized by the Wakiso District Football Association with the successful clubs qualifying to the fourth division league.
