After dropping four points in their last two games, second placed KCCA visit Lugogo rivals Police desperate for redemption.

The Kasasiro missed a great opportunity to get level on points with Vipers after firing blanks at home to SC Villa and can’t afford to slip up again.

With only two points separating them and the Venoms, a win will put them temporarily at the summit for at least 20 hours before Vipers take on Busoga United at Kitende on Wednesday.

Police are also equally desperate to increase their points tally in order to ease relegation fears as they are only four points ahead of the drop zone in 10th position with 22 points.

“It promises to be a tough game with either side trying to win for different reasons,” stated Abdallah Mubiru, Police coach. “They are chasing the championship and we are fighting for our life which makes the encounter epic,” he added.

“We are confident in our abilities and believe we can beat anyone on our day and we shall try to do so against KCCA.”

Badru Kaddu Mukasa who is expected to be in charge of the visitors for a second successive game with boss Morley Byekwaso down with illness says time is now to win and reclaim top spot.

“Police is a difficult side especially in the second half of the season but we shall go for all points if we are to maintain our title aspirations,” said Kaddu.

“From the draw against SC Villa, we picked vital lessons and we have prepared the boys well to go and finish the job,” he added.
