Overview:
The 2022 CMC Kaliro Sugar Rally is organized by Central Motor Club and FMU. This rally will take place between 11th and 13th November in the districts of Jinja, Iganga and Bugweri.

There is excitement within the motorsport fraternity that the Central Motor Club (CMC) 2022 Kaliro Sugar Rally is back in Eastern Uganda.
Organized by Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) in conjunction with Central Motor Club, the rally will take place between 11th and 13th November in the districts of Jinja, Iganga and Bugweri.
This will be the 6th event on the FMU calendar and according to the clerk of the course, Alfred Mutanda, it will cover a total distance of 303 Kilometres with 134 KM competitive.

During the official launch of this rally at the head offices of Alarm Group of Companies on 5th street Kampala Industrial Area, Mutanda emphasized the element of safety.
The Kaliro Rally 2022 will be a compact one (not spread) with 303 KM total distance to be covered. Of these, 134 KM will be competitive with five stages. The longest section will have 45 KM and the super special stage at Nakalama. These will be spread out in two days with Sunday as the final day. Once again, we emphasize the issue of safety for the fans to have a peaceful rally.

At the moment, the route exploration is underway as the drivers gear up for this rally.

Alam Group of Companies through their subsidiaries Kaliro Sugar confirmed a sponsorship package of Shs 20,000,000, as revealed by Hellen Mugisha, the public relations officer.
Alam Group of Companies is here to support Motor club Rallies, this is the third time we are doing it. We proud that we are supporting various sports activities in the country. We are ready to support through logistics and even through cooperate responsibilities we shall support more of the vulnerable through this rally.

President of the Central Motor club Shyam Kotecha anticipants a tranquil rally.
“It’s a very exciting time for us because this is the first event since the new executive took over, so we have a very passionate team. Everyone is joined us as a volunteer not forced and we know we are going to have a successful event. The safety will be top priority” Kotecha remarked.
The list of drivers to that will race in event is yet to be confirmed by the organizers.
