Rez Life Saints are back in the National Basketball League.

The Saints sealed promotion on Thursday night after beating Livingstone, 62-59, in Game 3 of the Division I semifinals at YMCA.

Rez Life who trailed by 11 points towards the end of the second quarter took full advantage of Livingstone’s foul situation in the second half to hang on for victory in a nail-biting finish.

After the halftime break, the Saints completed the comeback taking the lead but none was sustainable as there were multiple lead changes.

Daniel Jjuuko’s charges pulled away to a double-digit lead with under three minutes to play in the fourth quarter and all seemed nothing but done.

However, Livingstone put on a late surge and tied the game at 59 with under 20 seconds to play but allowed a coast-to-coast from Philip Kalenzi that was followed by a throw from Caleb Katumba.

Emmanuel Okot (12 points), Ivan Otyek (10) and William Saverino (10) scored in double figures for Rez Life.

Bruce Okello scored game high 18 points in a losing effort. Bismark Omoya had 10.
