Fred Muhumuza Credit: URA FC

Following the exit of Baker Mbowa, URA have named former SC Villa and Victors midfielder Fred Muhumuza as the assistant coach.

The Tooro Province Head coach holds a CAF B coaching license and begins duties with immediate effect.

“We would like to announce that Fred Muhumuza has joined our Technical staff as assistant coach on a one year contract…,” read a statement on the URA website.

“He comes in as a replacement of Baker Mbowa and with his experience we believe he will add value to the club.”

He becomes the third assistant under Timbe’s reign after Simeone Masaba and Mbowa who were all dismissed.

URA ended the first round in dire state and have been busy in the window acquiring players – Joshua Lubwama, Bruno Bunyaga and Nicholas Kabonge so far unveiled.
