Five time league champions Vipers has confirmed former immediate BUL Coach Alex Isabirye as their new Head Coach replacing sacked Bianchi Beto.
The details of the contract especially longevity for the former URA coach were not disclosed.
“Vipers SC have wrapped up the capture of experienced tactician Alex Isabirye from Uganda Premier League side BUL FC,” read part of the statement on the club website.
“The gaffer comes in as a direct replacement for the recently released Beto Bianchi Pellister, who parted ways with the club towards the end of last week.”
Isabirye was delighted to be joining one of the biggest clubs in the country at the moment.
“I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Vipers Sports Club, this fantastic football club,” he stated.
“I am very excited to be here and look forward to meeting and working with the exciting group of players and to develop a team and culture that our amazing fans can be proud of.”
Isabirye will be tasked to defend the league title where the Venoms currently lie fourth on the table seven points adrift of leaders KCCA and lift the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
His first test will be at Wakiso Giants on Tuesday in the round of 16 of the Uganda Cup.
