- Match 2: Qatar vs. Uganda
- Venue: Doha University of Technology
- Time: 9:00 am
Cricket Cranes will be in action again on Saturday against the hosts Qatar in their second ODI at the Doha University of Technology ground.
The Ugandans went down by 10 runs in their first ODI in a gallant effort of chasing down 250 runs set by the hosts.
In a year where the team has a lot of T20 cricket, the choice of an ODI tour was odd but playing a longer version against a better opponent has many benefits, especially for batters still finding their feet at the international level.
Coach Lawrence Mahatlane understands the assignment and is looking for improvements from the team in the second match of the tour.
We have a few injury concerns in the team. Alpesh Ramjani and Henry Ssenyondo are struggling but the physiotherapist is working overtime to have them fit for tomorrow.
I want us improve especially in our bowling. We should have more discipline in our bowling and we also convert our starts with the bat.
It’s a near death experience if you switch off when you are playing such experienced sides therefore we need to be on top of our game for 100 overs
Lawrence Mahatlane, Head Coach – Cricket Cranes
There might be a change in personnel as well with Pascal Murungi, Cosmas Kyewuta and Frank Nsubuga who missed out on the first ODI given a crack at it.
The Cricket Cranes will play four ODI against the hosts before returning home.
