Fufa President Moses Magogo has thanked neighbours Rwanda for hosting a successful FIFA Congress and labelled it as an inspiration to Uganda.
Rwanda became the first African country to host the assembly attended by 209 Fifa member associations as well as other guests at the BK Arena, Kigali.
“I want to thank Rwanda as an African because it is not easy to organise an event that can bring the entire world together (209 out of 211) football leaders plus other guests. As Uganda, it gives us an inspiration that we can also do it,” Magogo posted on his social media platforms.
Rwanda also used the occasion to unveil a new look Kigali Regional stadium named PELE which is eligible to host international matches.
At the moment, Uganda has no Fifa approved stadium to host matches in both Afcon and World Cup qualifiers and will host their forthcoming tie against Tanzania in Egypt.
