The fourth regional event of the BatBall competitions took place at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe.

The weather was kind for cricket, four teams were competing for honours. The level of competition was high from the onset compared to the other regions with a lot of notable names taking part in the central edition. U-19 World Cup stars Ronald Omara, Yunus Sowobi, and Christopher Kidega are part of the central edition.

Kalooli and Naddibanga have been the better teams on day one, with both picking two wins from two games they played, but a fixture between both tomorrow in the opening game shall see one of them book a direct spot to the competition final.

Ensega managed to organise themselves against a struggling Akasumagizi to pick their first with of the tournament in the last game of day one and they will be facing off in the third and fourth playoffs tomorrow.

The social impact cause for the central region tournament has been fighting HIV/AIDS with messages about the information given to the girls.

All will be to play for on the second day with four games on the scorecard and the best 16 players will be selected to represent the region at the upcoming Batball X an inter-regional competition.
