2023 Wakiso Region football championships:

Quarter-finals (Thursday, March 30)

• St Mary’s Kitende Vs Green Light Islamic Nansana – Kisubi Seminary playground
• Buddo Secondary School Vs London College Nansana – SMACK Main playground
• St Julian High School – Gayaza Vs Lake View Church of Uganda High School, Kitinda – Kisubi Technical Playground
• Kawanda Secondary School Vs Kawempe Royal – Kisubi Mapeera playground

Following the completion of the group stages at the 2023 Wakiso region football schools championships on the morning of Thursday, March 30, focus turns to the quarter finals in the afternoon.

St Mary’s Kitende faces Green Light Islamic Nansana at the Kisubi Seminary playground.

At the Kisubi Technical playground, St Julian High School – Gayaza takes on Lake View Church of Uganda.

At SMACK main playground, Buddo Secondary School will square up against London College Nansana.

The last quarter final shall witness Kawanda Secondary School against Kawempe Royal College – Bulaga at Kisubi Mapeera playground.

In some of the last group games played, St Mary’s Kitende humbled London College Nansana 4-0.

Abdul Nsereko, Hassan Mubiru, Olimi Nyarwa and Fazil Tumwine scored for Kitende.

Buddo Secondary School edged Boston High School 1-0 with Jimmy Kalema tapping home the lone goal.

Kawempe Royal College – Bulaga and St Julian High School shared the spoils, goal-less.

Entebbe based Lake View COU High school Kitinda was all square with Standard High Zzana 1-1.

Namugongo Secondary and Vocational School had a walk-over (3-0) against K.Garden Groove Nsangi.

The semi-final clashes come on Friday, 31^st March 2023 at Kisubi before the grand finale on Saturday, 1^st April 2023 at the Kabaka Kyabbagu stadium.

Five slots are up for grabs at the national championships in Fort Portal city come May 2023.
