A cast of former winners such as Joseph Cwinya-ai (2021), Rogers Byaruhanga (2011) and defending champion Andrew Ssekibejja (2022) are all in action.

The 82nd edition of the prestigious Johnnie Walker Uganda Amateur Golf Open officially tees off with the opening round on Wednesday, 17th October 2023 at the par-72 Uganda Golf Club in Kampala.

The Open has a rich history owing to the founding year of 1932 when H. Davidson won the inaugural edition.

An overwhelming 126 golfers will swing off as early as 7:00 am in a stroke format of play.

The majority of these golfers are Ugandans. Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania are also represented.
