Cricket Cranes picked up their first win on their 12-day training tour in India defeating the ACHA side by 7 wickets in a day of mixed results losing to the same side by five runs in a low-scoring morning game.
Innocent Mwebaze picked 6/25 in the afternoon as the hosts were skittled out for 108 inside 19.2 overs. The bowling has been leaking runs for the team on the tour and has failed to defend big totals also leaking runs in while bowling first.
Simon Ssesazi (41) was on form with the bat with Robinson Obuya (21) and Fred Achellam (24) offering the support as the Cricket Cranes picked up their first victory in India.
In the morning game, a great bowling display wasn’t backed up by the batting as the Cricket Cranes fell short by just five runs. David Wabwire (2/16), Frank Nsubuga (2/12), Kenneth Waiswa (2/16) with Roger Mukasa rolling his arm over for four overs and picking a wicket for 26 runs.
In the run chase, the only resistance came from Robinson Obuya (48) with only Simon Ssesazi (11) the other player getting into double figures as the team failed to measure their run chase.
The Cricket Cranes have suffered five losses in their six tour games so far. They still have at least three more practice games to play in India before the conclusion of the tour.
