First Leg: Seychelles 1 – 2 Uganda
Uganda U-17 national team, The Cubs have registered a 2-1 away win over hosts Seychelles in the first leg of the Africa U-17 championship qualifiers held at the Unity stadium in Victoria City.
Charles Ssebutinde, head coach, Matia Lule’s son gave the Ugandan youngsters the lead in the 19th minute of the game to give the Cubs a 1-0 half time lead.
On resumption, Seychelles made amends with the equalizing strike on the hour mark. Pius Obuya repaid the coach’s faith for starting him ahead of Luwalo Kipper as he shot Uganda ahead with a goal that also proved to be the match winner in the 65th minute. The return leg is for 28th June 2014 at Nakivubo Stadium.
