Six time champions Express FC recovered from a goal down to beat Maroons FC in an entertaining game played at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

Maxwell Okello gave the visitors a lead moments after the break but Ceaser Okhuti leveled matters for the hosts before substitute Eric Ssebuguzi scored a second and third for Express FC to ensure all three points stayed at Wankulukuku.

Maroons FC danger man Hood Muliki netted the other for Asaph Mwebaze’s side that only returned to the top division this year after missing the previous two.

The win came as a relief for Wasswa Bbosa and his side after drawing their two openers; 0-0 versus Police and 1-1 versus KCCA.

Express FC are now 5th with five points from three games while Maroons are 12th despite the loss.
