
National Rally champion Suzan “Super Lady” Muwonge, has urged government to help the fast growing sport of motorsport.
The first female national rally champion made her remarks while receiving her Nile Special Uganda Sports Press Association sportswoman of the month of October accolade at Oasis restaurant Lugogo last evening at a lavish dinner organised by the sports scribes body and its
sponsors Nile Breweries.
“I want government to give the sport more support,” an excited Muwonge together with her navigator Edmund Kyeyune said while receiving her awards for February and October. “We as drivers face alot of challenges of sponsorship and also receiving little support from the government. I dedicate my first award to government.
Muwonge, who received her awards in the company of her family, husband,sponsors and FMU president George Kagimu dedicated her second award to her fans, the media and women in the country who have given her support in the sport.
Federation of Motorclubs in Uganda president George Kagimu, said that Muwonge was the first female national rally champion in the world and it gave this country and her great honour.
