Bell USL match preview: SC Villa Vs Bunamwaya

WHERE: NAKIVUBO WAR MEMORIAL STADIUM.
WHEN: FRIDAY 17TH/02/2012
KICK OFF: 1630HRS

SC. Villa will be looking to avenge the 2-0 loss suffered at the hands of Bunamwaya SC in the first round encounter in Buikwe when they host the Wakiso based side tomorrow in the Bell super League at Nakivubo stadium. Goals from Luwagga Kizito and Tony Odur condemned Mike Mutebi to his first loss since taking over as manager at Villa Park.

SC.VILLA TEAM NEWS: Captain Isaac Kirabira who missed the 1-0 win over BIDCO due to injury is in contention and may replace youngster Geofrey Ssembatya in the holding midfield role. Defenders Denis Okoth and Ssekiziyivu Steven, midfielders Eurukana Nkugwa and Muwadda Mawejje plus custodian Mulindwa Muwonge missed Wednesday’s training session and are likely to be unavailable for the Bunamwaya clash. Experienced defender Phillip Gassana (knee injury) has no chance of making the squad

Probable line up (4-3-3): Benjamin Ochan (gk), Ayub Kisalita, Hamis Katende, Apollo Kakaire, Muleme Isaac, Kirabira Isaac (cpt), Achema Robert, Moses Ndaula, Noah Ssemakula, Steven Bengo and Musamali Paul.
Substitutes: Luyima Sulait (gk), Wasswa Herman, Ssenfuka Patrick, Muganga Ronald, Ssembatya Geofrey, Ssempa Charles and Okoth Denis.

ONE TO WATCH: Kisaliita Ayub crossed from Bunamwaya to Villa in one of the longest transfer sagas of domestic football and playing against his former employers who never wanted to lose him may just be enough inspiration to punish them. He is expected to be at right back for Villa and if he builds on the fantastic display from the Bidco F.C encounter, he will be vital both offensively and defensively to the Jogoos.LU

BUNAMWAYA SC TEAM NEWS: Striker Tony Odur returns after missing the 3-0 win over Proline F.C in Buikwe last Friday. Luzige Edgar is expected to make his debut today albeit coming off the bench. The return of the two forwards means the likes of Abbey Ssegujja and Ddumba Ssadala who played in the previous game may lose their places in the squad. Striker Emma Kalyowa’s debut may be delayed as he is unlikely to even make the bench for the clash against his most recent employers. Wantenga Ismael, Otunga Jacob, Muwonge Meddie, and Ibrahim Saddam Juma are out of the titanic clash too.

Probable line up (4-3-3). Hamza Muwonge (gk), Wadada Nicholas, Sseku Ronald, Ssali Edward, Walusimbi Godfrey, Kimuli Robert (cpt), Hakim Ssenkumba, Sserunkuma Simon, Okhuti Ceaser, Luwagga Kizito, and Tony Odur.
Substitutes: Ssebuliba Joseph (gk), Luzige Edgar, Muwanga Martin, Mpadde Joseph, Jjuuko Murushid, Muwonge Meddie and Ddumba Sadala.

ONE TO WATCH: The prospect of proving his worth against former employers will automatically inspire Sserunkuma Simon to play his heart out. In his last game for the club, the play maker missed a penalty and since then, he became public enemy No.1 to the Villa fans and expects them to boo him through out the match. He had a fantastic display in his debut and if he builds on that, expect the flying winger to torment the villa rearguard.

DID YOU KNOW? Mike Mutebi’s only loss at Villa came at the hands of Bunamwaya SC. The 2-0 loss in Buikwe. Since the blues have fared well.
Ronald Muganga, Ayub Kisaliita (Villa) and Sserunkuma Simon, Godfrey Walusimbi (BUnamwaya) have played for both clubs and will relishing facing their former team mates.

PREDICTION. Both teams like to posses the ball and have enough quality in their squads to do that over and over. However, ball possession in these big encounters matters less than goals. Bunamwaya SC are a high scoring side while SC.Villa rarely concede goals though their scoring ratio is lower than that of their visitors. Both teams have changed so much since their first round clash making the clash more difficult to predict. There is no doubt Bunamwaya have the upper hand when it comes to quality and squad cohesion but I expect the Jogoos to provide a stern test. I will go for a scoring draw. SC.VILLA 1-1 BUNAMWAYA SC. what is your prediction?
