URA FC storms Bell Uganda Cup Finals

Uganda Revenue Authority FC have stormed the finals of the Bell Uganda Cup after beating Masaka LC 1-0 in the second leg of the semi-finals tie played at Masaka Recreation Ground this afternoon. Moses Feni Ali struck on the 51st minute mark to hand the tax collectors a precious away victory.

Alex Isabirye’s side now qualify on a 3-0 aggregate after winning the first leg 2-0 at Lugazi Municipal Stadium. Hamis Kitagenda and Sula Bagala struck then. In his

prematch notes, the URA FC Coach promised to go for an offensive game and his approach lived to his promise.

The tax collectors are now one step closer to winning the Uganda Cup they last won in 2005. However, they will have to contend with whoever wins the second semi-finals between Maroons and Bunamwaya SC who meet tomorrow at Buikwe.

The tax men are also on the verge of winning their first ever league and Cup double. They lie second on the table with 42 points and are favorites to land the league. The finals are slated to take place at Pece Stadium on 12th/May/2012.
