Simba SC 1-0 URA FC.

Swalley Ssonko’s solitary strike was enough to sink visiting league champions URA FC and open the title race wide open as Simba SC beat the champions 1-0 in a league game played at Bombo this afternoon.

The midfielder cum striker who has been a revelation this season scored early in the first half to ensure the hosts winning streak continues to six games.

The loss to the champions cuts their lead to just a point on 54 points while second and third placed Bunamwaya SC and Express FC are level on 53 points. URA FC and Bunamwaya SC have played the same number of goals and have just a game to complete their fixtures while the Wankuluku based red eagles have a game in hand though it is most likely they will have to forfeit the points from that particular game.

The win lifts Simba SC to 6th on the 16 team log on 45 points while URA FC stays at the summit on 54 points.
