Cricket without Boundaries (CWB), a UK-charity based organisation is set to deliver a three year project in Northern Uganda in partnership with the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA), the ICC and UK Sport.

Speaking at a press conference held at Oasis Restaurant in Lugogo, UCA vice chairman Daniel Ligyalingi expressed delight on the move.

“We want to spread the game there” he said.

“I salute all the sponsors and stake holders in in this project that it will not only develop cricket but also help in the healing process”

Three coaches Richard Davies, Lee Booth and Ed Williams have started the program in districts of Gulu, Lira and Arua and will fly back to UK on July 18.

The program is set to run for three years. Since 1986, UCA has taken greter strides and steps in spreading the game countrywide.

CWB has been working in Kenya, Botswana and Rwanda. Over 2000 have been trained.
