Proline Soccer Academy director Mujib Kasule has confirmed the sale of Rwanda’s U-20 international Charles Tibingana to newly promoted side SC Victoria University for an undisclosed fee. “It’s true we have sold Tibingana to Victoria University though am not ready to disclose the fee”, he said. The winger was among the revealations at the club and his performance earned him a place on the Rwanda U-20 side. He was also part of the five league players that managed to score a league hat trick last season with his coming against relegated Utoda FC in the second half of the season.
Proline FC has not signed any new player so far in the window and Mujib said that the club will depend on it’s youth project for reinforcement and will only go into the market if they identify a right a player. “We are going to recruit from the academy. Chances are minimal that we shall go into the market for experienced players”, he stated. The club finished sixth last season and at one moment threatened to lift the league title. The core of the team that include Yusuf Mukisa, Apollo Razak, William Wadri, Gift Ali and Richard Luyima however remain untouched. Tibingana’s sale brings the number of players that have so far left Proline FC to 2 after custodian Yasin Mugabi also left the club for URA FC in July.
