
Uganda’s top prize fighter NABO lightweight champion Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, has waited too long for his devine calling by his promoters and has grown hungrier than a Lion for a world title shot.
“I should be landing a title before the end of the year and I will be vying for any world title in my division under any boxing body,” Bogere said in a message to Kawowo sports. “Ishallah,God knows better,but yeah,i’m hungrier than a Lion every other day.”
Oscar De La Hoya, the Ugandan fighter’s promoted recently hinted that his charge will soon get a title shot at any of the belts in his weight division. Bogere, who is based in the “Mecca” of boxing Las Vegas is the most sought after fighter in his division class.
Bogere is six out of his last six with three wins by way of knockout. He is 23 wins and 15 within the distance. WBC rates him number 12 in the 135 division while WBA has him at number four.
