Only two sides Tornado and Tornado B are yet to concede defeat in Group A of the National T20 League.
The former top the log with 35 points from seven ties while fourth placed Tornado B (10) can make it three in three if they beat Makerere University at the university oval in Kyambogo this afternoon.
“Nothing more,” Tornado B batsman Roger Mukasa was quick to say about this tie. “We want to play well and secure the required result early,”
“We want to play quick innings and prepare for Sunday’s games.” he added. Mukasa scored 48 runs including eight boundaries on his debut last weekend as Tornado B defeated Challengers by five wickets.
Should the result go Tornado B’s way, they will be on level with Patidar (15) but will temporarily move to third on a better Net Run Rate (NRR) not until tomorrow’s action.
Makerere (5) lies seventh, just above bottom side JICC but can move to fifth if they poise a much improved NRR.
In Group B, seventh-placed ACC (5) side against fourth-placed Jinja SS (20) as they look for their second win in five games at Lugogo.
