Cranes and Azam FC striker Brian Umony has heaped praises on his Kenyan team mates Humphrey Mieno and Joackins Atudo describing them as top quality.

The former KCC FC and Supersport United striker who joined the Tanzanian outfit in January; the same time as his Harambee Stars compatriot in an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports.

“Humphrey Mieno is a fantastic talent. He is a top quality creative midfielder with a brilliant football brain”, Umony said.

“His understanding of the game is up there with the best and I enjoy playing alongside him”.

On central defender Joackins Atudo, Umony simply described him as ‘flawless’ when it comes to defending.

“He makes the art of defending look easy”, Umony stated. “He is confident on the ball and simply flawless. He sometimes makes strikers look naïve with his skillful defending”.

On the Tanzania Vodacom league, Umony whose Azam FC finished second on the 14 team log described the league as more competitive and organized as compared the Ugandan league at the moment pointing out Azam, Yanga and Simba SC as the elites of the league.

“The Tanzania league holds an edge in organization and competitiveness especially amongst the traditional top three clubs (Yanga, Simba and Azam)”, he said.

Umony is currently on holiday following the end of the 2012/13 season and will return to Tanzania on July 15.
