Hosts Egypt are leading Uganda Cranes 1-0 at the half time thanks to Ahmed Hassan Koka’s 22nd minute strike following a defensive blunder.
The Pharaohs have been the most dominant side in the first 45 minutes and Cranes have custodian Robert Odongkara to thank for keeping the score line respectable. The St. George goalie is currently Uganda’s best player on the pitch after saving three one on one situations. Nevertheless, Cranes should have gotten on the score sheet but Nicholas Wadada and Emma Okwi failed to convert when availed with opportunities.
Both coaches are yet to make any changes but with six substitutions agreed on for this tie, expect changes in the second half. Uganda has never beaten Egypt at their own backyard and are left with only 45 minutes to change history.
