Kenya has won the 15th edition of the East Africa Golf Challenge that ended this morning at the Great Rift Valley Country and Golf club in Naivasha, Kenya.

Kenya ended the four day tournament with 19 points one better than Uganda to retain the tournament for a second year running.

Uganda who for the past two days led collapsed  and the decisive day where they won  three games, halfed one game and lost four games ending the tournament with 18 and a half points.

“I am lost for words after we blowing our chances of winning this tournament,”  Deo Akope, the coach of the national team said. “It’s a bad feeling for all of us when we had everything all under our control.”

Tanzania finished third with 15 and a half points. Uganda will host the six nation golf tournament next year seeking to win it for the fourth time.

Countries that participated included Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Ethiopia and Kenya the hosts.
