Kenya Premier League side Nairobi City Stars has confirmed the capture of SC Victoria University duo of Joseph Kayiira and Lawrence Kasadha.

City Stars Coach Robinson Ndubuisi confirmed that the two Ugandans join other five players as their new signings so far in the window.

“We have finished signing seven players. Kevin Master Ochieng, Milanzi, Moses Otieno, Victor Maloba (axed Tusker trio), Joseph Kayiira, Lawrence Kasadha from Victoria University and Chief Evans,” Ndubuisi told futaa.com.

The details of the contract were not revealed SC Victoria University confirmed release of the players thanking them for their services at the club and also wished them success at their new club.

“We released Kasadha and Kayiira and just wish them the best at City Stars. We also thank them for the time they have been at SCVU,” said Leone Ssenyange the club’s head of communications.

The duo join compatriot Jimmy Bageya at the club where Uganda Cranes striker Daniel Sserunkuma now at Gor Mahia kick started his KPL career.

Kasadha has spent two years at SCVU after joining from SC Villa in January 2012 and was instrumental as the club lifted the Uganda Cup last year while Kayiira joined the club in June 2013.

Kasadha is a versatile player who across the backline while Kayiira is a winger but can also play as a number 10 off the main striker.
