Former Entebbe F.c and Express football club coach, Frank ‘Video’ Anyau will this Thursday play the second round fufa big league fixture against Masindi’s based VCC to start a new lease of life as Baza Holdings Head coach when his new team.
Baza Holdings that features in the Rwenzori group of the Big league faces Masindi based VCC at the Villa Park, Nsambya Stadium in Kampala.
“Football is football. Whether, it is big league or super division, we have a goal to play and qualify for the FUFA super league and my boys are well aware about that”, the flamboyant coach told Kawowo sports at the team’s training ground on Wednesday.
Baza Holdings, like many FUFA Big league teams have recruited massively ahead of the start of the second round that kicked off last Thursday.
Owned by the self styled Commander in Chief, Bashir ‘Mando’ Kamanzi boasts of the tried and tested legs of Alosious Lubega, a former Uganda Cranes, Kinyara, Masaka L.C, Victors and Sports Club forward.
Others in the side are Juilus Isabirye and Umaru Ngobi (both formerly with Express f.c), Ahmed Katoito, Richard Ssenkatawa, goalie Godfrey Wakabu and striker Moses Lukyamuzi, who were all half season recruits.
VCC, owned Taban Amin, by son to former of Uganda’s head of State, Idi Amin, will travel to Kampala with ‘fat’ expectations having bagged ‘free’ three points without any sweat last Saturday because Moyo based Vuura football club failed to make the trip to Masindi.
The round fixture between the two teams was won by the home team 2 – 1 last November.
The Big league will climax in April with two different group leaders, who will be joined by another team (victor) of the play-offs to join the elite league – The FUFA Super league.
