Selected Fixture:

Entebbe F.C Vs Vipers F.C – Wankulukuku Stadium

Uganda Cranes and Vipers football striker, Yunus ‘Mancho’ Sentamu returns to active football on Friday evening as his team makes the short trip to face the embattled Entebbe football club at the once dreaded Mutesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku .

“I am more than ready to make my come back on the domestic league scene , and I hope the technical team will grant me some playing time”, the soft spoken striker, who resumed training on Monday said.

The youthful striker has not played any competitive game ever since his January positive CHAN expliots where he was among the tournament’s top scorers (with 3 goals). He has been up and down trying to secure clubs in South Africa.

Sentamu’s return to Vipers is a big timely boost to the side which is currently the log leaders in the FUFA Super league but have struggled to create goal scoring opportunities later  on convert them into goals.

Vipers, who are less likely to use right back Nicolas Wakiro Wadada (played in midweek friendly for Cranes against Zambian Chippolopolo), leads the 16 man team on 34 points are will hope for maximum points against an Entebbe side that has blown cold and hot since the start of the new year.

Entebbe’s head coach, Matia Lule has not sat on the technical bench ever since he was recruited at the start of the new year after James Odoch left for FUFA Big league outfit, Baza Holdings Football club.

Perhaps, his stand in partner in crime, Alex Gitta Mabanga intits, they are out to cause an upset as he believes his team’s chances of staying in the top flight league are very much realistic.

“We are a ball playing side and do not call it a miracle if we beat Vipers”, the comical Mabanga, whose side was knocked out of Uganda Cup on Tuesday by Police football club adds.

In lead striker, Kinene, Abraham Ndugwa, skipper Sunday Mukibi and Siraje Sentamu, Entebbe will play to record maximum points against a technically gifted Vipers’ side.

In the other games on card, Richard Makumbi’s Soana will face Kira Young at Kavumba recreational stadium while Bright Stars fresh from being dumped out of the knock out Uganda Cup by FUFA Big league side, Lweza on Tuesday, faces relegation bound Child’s Restoration Organization (CRO) football club at Nakivubo war memorial stadium.

Bight Stars are most likely to welcome back coach Livingstone Mbabazi (to the club’s technical bench) and players Hassan Kikoyo , Medi Kakeeto  and goalie Red Ice to the starting lineup, after the trio never started the Lweza game.

CRO welcomes back, head coach, Herbert Sama, who had resigned his job but in a quick fix, he resumed his duties a week later after the club’s management cleared his outstanding arrears.

At Jinja Kakindu Stadium, Home team Bul Bidco will put aside their inhouse woes and concenrtrate on the fixture against army side, Simba football club. Bul Bidco’s head coach, Kefa Kisala is away with Uganda Cranes (where he is assistant coach), but he is expected to make the bench once the national team arrives early enough on Friday.

But his assistants including, Bright Dhaira have been handling the boys well. Martin Kivumbi, Aziz Kemba, skipper Crespo Asiku and midfield icon, Peter Katumba are expected to feature for the Jinja based team.
