Uganda’s Alex Kakuba is so hopeful for a win when his football club Sporting Covilha meets Atletico CP at Jose Santos stadium in the Portuguese second division league this weekend.

“My team has gone a number of matches without a win, but this time round we (players) are determined to produce three points”. Kakuba told Kawowo Sports in an interview.

Fourteen placed Covilha who have two wins in 18 games of the Liga De Honra hosts bottomed placed Atletico CP that has won one game in its last five meetings.

Alex Kakuba together with midfielder Kizito Luwaga will be available for selection as Coach Francisco Chalo names his troops for the encounter.

Meanwhile other Ugandans will be available for selection or action for their respective clubs around the world

In Vietnam top league, Moses Oloya who netted one for Binh Duong’s 5-2 win last weekend, is set for another encounter at Dau stadium, against Ninh Binh Football Club in week 9 of the V-League.

Elsewhere, Savio Nsereko will be looking forward to again spurring on Atyray FC to its second consecutive win of the season. The Ugandan scored the only goal that earned Atyray FC three points to go top of the 13 team table.

Henry Kisseka will also be in action when his second placed Qyang Nam club plays away to table leaders Thanh Hoa FC at Dulie stadium this weekend.

In the Turkish top flight, Rizenpor that employs Ugandan Martin Kayongo Mutumba will be up against eigtheenth placed Eskisechirspor on Saturday. Mutumba is yet to make his debut for Risespor who is sixteen on the log with 26 points as Fenerbahce tops with 54 points.

In USA, Ibrahim Ssekajja’s Red Bull will travel to Toyota Park where they will meet Chicago Fire in the Major league. Ssekajja who was an unused substitute in his team’s last game last weekend is injury free and set to travel with the team.

Red Bull has 1 point from two games played and seventh on the Eastern Conference league table while Chicago Fire is fifth with one point.

In the same league, Mike Azira’s Seattle Sounders playing eighth placed Montreal Impact at Stade Saputo stadium this Saturday. Azira is yet to make his debut with Sounders in the Major League Soccer. Sounders are fifth in Western conference league table with three points.

In Kazakhstan top tier, Andrew Mwesigwa will feature in Ordabasy’s first home game in the season against Astana. Mwesigwa was part of Ordabasy 1-0 lose over Kaisan FC last weekend.

In the same league, Savio Nsereko will also be available when table leaders Atyrau FC host Tobal FC.

In Ghana, Joseph Ochaya and his Asante Kotoko face division one Istanbul FC in Ghanaian FA cup on Sunday in Kumasi city. Coach Didi and his squad have no choice but to go all out and do the wanted job as it is common knowledge that FA Cup matches are full of surprises
