Ndejje University will not meet any resistance until they face UCU in the university basketball league. The Luwero based institution’s dominance over their opponents continued on Saturday at Makerere.

Facing Kampala University for a second time in a week, Ndejje once against imposed their superiority with a relaxed 57-46 win over Kampala University. Jonah Otim and Brian Oudur contributed 11 points each to lead Ndejje. Meacheal Deng had game high 22 points and 16 rebounds in a losing effort.

Ndejje’s ladies side also saw of their Kampala University counterparts with a 41-37 edge thanks to Sandra Nabazza and Jane Nassali’s 15 and 11 points respectively. Kampala University’s Victoria Wandiso limited herself to 14 points because of awful shooting from the stripe as she hit only 6 of 16 freebies. Maggie Wesonga contributed 10 points for KU.

Meanwhile, Makerere’s ladies side – Sparks blew out UMU in the opening and most lopsided game of the day. Sparks were six points short of a century. It ended 94-18. Winnie Anyango led Makerere with 22 points 18 coming off 3-pointers, Claire Lamunu added 20 points, Joy Chemutai had 18 points and Sheena Asimwe contributed 10 points. Kushie Nakazzi scored 8 points to go with 8 boards for UMJU,

Makerere men’s side beat their matches from UMU 56-49. Makerere’s leading scorer Tony Drileba scored 13 points, Jonah Makwaba added 12 points that were matched by center Daniel Owiti. The center also grabbed 10 rebounds. UMU’s star player Daniel Babara scored 10 points and picked 10 rebounds.
