Crane High Ladies Vs UCU Lady Canons 6:30pm
KIU Titans Vs Krishna Falcons 8:30pm

Krishna Falcons are capable of outscoring most opponents in the league with individuality over cohesion but then there are games where individuality may not work, games against teams that are defensively solid and organized – teams like the KIU Titans.

With four wins in five all nearly through individuality, Falcons’ team play that Sam Obol is trying to establish will be called into action when they face KIU Titans this evening at YMCA.

After managing 17 points in the loss against Power, Syrus Kiviiri individually swamped his former side UCU Canons on Friday in the absence of Steven Omony (who will return today) scoring twice as many he did against Power. After that explosion, Titans (4-2) should come out more streetwise about stopping the shooting guard from going on rampage – again.

KIU have their own in Chris Omanye who has got a strong drive, quite a shot when on and a strong individual defender. The point guard will probably be tasked in the face of Kiviiri. You can always be sure he will give at least 15 points each game.

If Francis Kasekende (who has been rusty), Julius Lutwama and Sam Ogutu turn up for KIU and Kelly Martin as well as Jonah Mukwaba and Steven ‘Duxx’ Tumwesigye off the bench on the other side, it should be a game on the back court.

In such games, where the opponents have a strong interior, naturally Falcons’ bigs Serge Kabangu, Herbert Akita and Peter Elungat (and Julius ‘Shell’ Wapera?) to step up. They have got to do it against the frames of Bol Akol, Sam Gombya and Micheal Makiadi. It gets no tougher than this at the post!

UCU Lady Canons play Crane High Ladies in the women’s division.
