Twenty six teams have confirmed participation in this year’s Weatherhead Open Hockey Tournament scheduled this weekend at the Astro turf pitch in Lugogo, Kampala.
Reigning champions Wanaich Hockey club (men), Weatherhead A (Women) and Kololo sss (Schools boys) have also shown desires of defending their respective titles.
St. Jude Naguru, Bright school Kawempe (primary schools) and Kakungulu Memorial secondary schools are among the ten confirmed institutions to take part in this annual event.
Police hockey club, Kampala hockey club, Simba hockey club, Rockets hockey club, Wanaichi hockey club, Kampala hockey club and among others will also involve themselves event. Weatherhead hockey club is the hosting team of this two day event.
