Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has praised Uganda’s U17 team as a good side with superior talent compared to their weekend opponents, Seychelles.
Talking to Kawowo Sports, the Serb whose African coaching career stretches 15 years stressed that despite the fact that Seychelles is well represented in CAF and FIFA, Uganda has an upper hand of getting results from Victoria City. “Even though Seychelles has good representation in CAF and FIFA major boards which has availed them with good football facilities and programs, talent is on our side” Micho remarked.
Suketu Patel the first Vice President of CAF and Ulrich Mathiot (FIFA Instructor) come from Seychelles. “Seychelles has prepared a good selection of players to face us but I believe in Coach Matia Lule and his entire bench despite the fact that it’s the first outing for the Cubs.” Micho added.
However Micho advised the Cubs not to underrate Seychelles but be very much compact, competitive, defend and attack as a team and take care of the very important aspects of the game.
Captain Andrew Okiring will lead the Cubs in the first leg of the 2015 African U-17 championships qualifier against Seychelles this Saturday in Victoria.
