Month of May Sports Personality Team:

National U-18 Netball (The She Pearls)

Uganda U-18 Netball team, The She Pearls has openly expressed the desire and urge to aspire bigger as they keeping winning different tournaments.

The team,  that recently won the Africa Junior Netball gong in Gaborone, Botswana was rewarded by the Uganda Sports Pres Association (USPA) as the top performing sporting team for the month of May.

“Going out to play and win was our major target. But again, returning home and getting recognized is another motivational stint altogether”, Angellah  Namirembe remarked.

The team was rewarded at Imperial Royale Hotel recently a special dinner where the sports scribes reward the best performers of the month past.

“We are always happy to see sportsmen excel in their activities. As USPA, we recognize achievers through publicizing their actions and rewarding them where appropriate”, Sabiti Muwanga, USPA’s Vice President said in his brief speech.

Team manager of the team, Annet Kisomose acknowledged the diligent efforts of the players and urged them to maintain working hard as the World Cup Qualifiers fast knock by in September.

They were rewarded with a cash prize of Ug.shs 500,0000.
