It will be real business for the 132 golfers tomorrow at the par 72 Kitante golf course when the second edition of the MTN Golf Day tournament tees off at the Uganda Golf Club.
A total of 33 corporate teams are lined-up for the day’s action that will see a golfer walk away with a Grand Jeep Cherokee if he or she nails a hole in 1 at hole number 9 which is a par 3 with 170 yards for the men while it’s 150 for the ladies.
It’s biggest tournament for the leading mobile phone company in the year and gives them the opportunity to interact with the business community on the course over a road of golf.
Like last year’s edition teams will be playing shot gun format thus teams teeing of any tee box over the 18 hole course, but it will be Stableford points full handicap that will determine the overall winning team of the one day tournament that will have various pleasantries on the tee boxes.
AH Consulting won last year’s edition with a total of 104 stableford points beating a total of 12 Corporate teams.
The team made up of national golf captain Phillip Kasozi, Baker Mwanja, Timothy Okwi and Herbert Rwambibazi.
