Amateur golfers from various clubs in the country will tomorrow take part in the Soroti Golf Club fundraiser tournament tomorrow(Saturday) at the par 72 Kitante golf course at the Uganda Golf Club.
The Soroti Club is seeking for a major revamp as this tournament is part of its plans to regain it’s status and also help golfers in Eastern Uganda, but at the same time the Uganda Golf Union have been planning to revive all the club’s that have been dormant.
Corporate teams will pay 400,000 to play us teams while individuals will pay 20,000 to take part with the organisers using a stableford points format. Notable players that have signed in to take part include Dr Kathy Kabenge, Gloria Mbaguta, Monica Ntege, Abbey Bagalana, Joseph Mawejje, Gideon Kagyenzi, Frank Ngabo, Jovia Opio, Candy Mpanga, Annette Kiconco, Karanja Karibiu, Nyaga Ngari, Ken Karisa and others.
